UX Design @ING Netherlands

At ING, the main objective was personal development and achieving specific competencies. I took on increasing responsibility for my professional growth.
Role and Responsibilities
As a UX Designer, I had the opportunity to work with the Assisted Expert Team at ING. Our focus was on improving digital platforms used by ING employees, such as call centers, service points, and managers. My role involved understanding user needs, behaviors, and emotions to optimize and innovate ING’s products and services.
Projects and Challenges
I worked on various projects of different complexities. Each project presented a unique challenge, allowing me to learn from the best practices of my colleagues. Initially, I relied on my supervisor for guidance, but gradually I became more independent, seeking answers from other teams, product owners, customer journey experts and developers.
Growth and Learning
Throughout my work, I expanded my knowledge and skills by conducting user research, exploring design options, creating prototypes, and improving the user interface. I embraced the opportunity to work in an environment where I could learn from my colleagues and develop a better understanding of the ING way of working.
Accessibility Certification
In addition to project work, I also participated in an Accessibility Certificate course. This course focused on enhancing the accessibility of digital content, providing valuable insights for UX and UI designers. I learned how to design digital products that are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities.
Reflection and Conclusion
Working at ING provided numerous learning opportunities and allowed me to connect with interesting people, some of whom became friends. I am satisfied with what I have accomplished and consider this fase as a valuable and enlightening experience. I feel prepared to enter the professional field as a UX designer, and I am excited to see where my career will take me.
